West fears new axis of autocrats — says an opinion piece on The Times of London

It is no surprise. In the West, we have a massive shortage of good leadership. It’s like being in a barren land looking for water, a good leader who can unite people is no where to be seen.

It has been like that for a long time now. In the West we are more concerned with identity politics, telling women they aren’t women, getting offended over any perceived “insult”, getting angry over names of food names(See ‘Offence advisers’ help Jamie Oliver avoid whipping up a cultural storm), we are taking down old statues because apparantly that will just make the world so fair…etc Our politicians are happy to oblige to jump on as many bandwagons as they can if that means getting the job.

China attacked democracy in Hong Kong, no one cared. They are now firmly under the Communist Regime. Those poor people protested for real democracy but we were more happy filling up our newspapers with stories defunding the police and the latest hashtag that had gone viral.

We lost Afghanistan which is a strategic location, what’s happening in Myanmar isn’t a coincidence either. Probably got an OK from China. Yemeni rebels attacking UAE could also be a distraction. Little fires being lit all over the place but we are more concerned with gender neutrality and banning books and cancelling people..eventually we will get to the dictators I guess but when? When will “trigger alert” be put on the dictators? Who knows.

No wonder totalitarianism is rising. Moderate voices are no where to be seen.
